Subclaim 6 of 10

Our original environment was so abundant it even contained valuable resources we did not need at the time

Genesis 2:10-12 (NASB) NASB

Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four rivers. The name of the first is Pishon; it flows around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. The gold of that land is good; the bdellium and the onyx stone are there as well.

How it connects
1Gold is a resource that has historically been used as money
2In the original environment God wanted us to be fruitful from, everything was free — there was nothing to buy
3The land of that same environment contained gold when there was nothing to buy, as well as other historically valuable resources
4Scripture does not state or imply any commercial or economic purpose for these resources being there
5However, it does show that God's original creation was already abundant, containing good and valuable things in plentiful supply
